Generally
Store spring onions in the fridge for freshness. Start by removing any wilted or damaged parts, then trim the root ends and gently pat the onions dry with a clean towel. Wrap them in a paper towel or clean cloth, and place them in a container or plastic bag to keep them crisp. Alternatively, you can store spring onions upright in a jar with just enough water to cover the roots. Loosely covering the tops with a plastic bag can help prevent moisture loss, though it's not strictly necessary. Change the water every 2-3 days to keep them fresh.
